Adco-Loperamide tablets 6's

Children 2 to 5 years: Loperamide is not indicated for acute and chronic nonspecific diarrhoea but for inhibition of peristalses and slowing of intestinal transit time, Adults and children 6 years and older: Loperamide is indicated for the symptomatic relief of acute and chronic nonspecific diarrhoea and to inhibit peristalsis and slow intestinal transit time in patients with ileostomies, colostomies and other intestinal resections.

For inhibition of peristalses and slowing of the intestinal transit time in children 2 to 5 years: ½ a tablet eight hourly. For acute diarrhoea in adults: Two tablets initially, followed by one tablet after each loose stool. For acute diarrhoea in children of 6 years and older: One tablet initially, followed by one tablet after each loose stool, the initial dose should be adjusted until solid stools are obtained, this is usually achieved on a maintenance dose of one to six tablets. For chronic diarrhoea in adults: The initial dose is two tablets daily, dosage should be adjusted individually. For chronic diarrhoea in children of 6 years and older: The initial dose is one tablet daily, the dosage should be adjusted individually.

Loperamide hydrochloride 2 mg per tablet.

Lactose, gelatin, magnesium stearate, maize starch, purified water, sodium lauryl sulphate and sodium starch glycollate.
